2008 Western Adventure
Day 23 - July 12, 2008
I decided to stay in Livingston, MT for the day.
I did not have a chance to check the internet for the past couple of
days and I had over 200 e-mails, some of which were work. I
stayed up until 2am last night and woke up at 7am this morning.
Five hours isn't enough sleep to keep this old worn out body going
for a whole day. Besides I had my laundry to do and I wanted
to hose off the dirt off my bike from the last 10 states.
I also wanted to drive around the back streets of
the town, and was pleasantly surprised that there are a lot of new
homes going up. The weather was gorgeous, but there was
something in the air that was causing my allergies to run wild.
I think it was Dogwood. I had lunch at Mama Rosa's Pizza
Parlor. It was okay, especially the potato soup.
I did a little shopping, which is all I can do
because I don't have much room to carry anything extra. The
stuff that I usually buy, is stuff that I can eat up. I'm not
starving, but I've had to pull my belt in two holes already.
Maybe I'll lose a little more weight this time. I usually lose
between 20 - 25 pounds on my big rides. That's good,
especially if I can keep it all off. Usually I gain about 10
to 12 pounds back, but that's still progress in the right direction.
I went to Mc's for dinner and had a salad,
chicken snack wrap, and apple pie. It seems that I've had that
combo a time or two on this trip. I didn't finish dinner until
after nine and it was still light outside. I guess I'm getting
up in the north country.
Good night.
